Amalfi Coast & Pompeii
Positano - It was love at first site. The pictures don't even do it justice.
View from our balcony
down to the beach to get a boat to lunch at a little family run restaurant called 'Da Aldolfo'
Lunch with some awesome travelers (Helen and Espen) that we met on the boat ride over.

delicious dinner at one of the highest restaurants in positano called La Tagliata'.
'Music on the rocks' - a cave nightclub built into the cliff face.

Next stop is the beautiful town of Sorento which is set upon an incredible cliff face making everything below look miniature in size.
This was our first pizza in Italy and we were blown away. Pizzeria da Franco seems more like a deli than a pizzeria with hams hanging from the ceilings and no plates. You eat your pizza straight from the pan and it's so delicious!
In our explorations we found a secret little watering hole on the coast just out of town.
Another amazing hidden gem is this old abandoned mill which has been beautifully embraced by nature. It's right in the middle of town but you would easily miss it if you just walked past and didn't look down.
I love walking around a town and taking in all the little daily moments of the people that live there. Like this grocery delivery guy, what a cheery soul he is. A father kissing his son on the head as they ride along, or a local kid fearlessly diving off a cliff like he's done it a million times.
next we visited our pregnant friend, Joey, in Cassino.
Joey got us in her garden picking organic vegetables for dinner.
Joey and her husband Pepe treated us to a beautiful italian home cooked meal
she can bake too!
pompei ruins - I was so surprised by how big the city was and so it's crazy to think about the fact that one third of the city still hasn't been excavated.
