Turkey - cappadocia
We headed out before sunrise to go hot air ballooning over the incredible Cappadocia landscape.

back at the cave hotel. We had a little tunnel that lead out to a viewing room.
Pigeon valley...it's just as the name suggests, pigeons everywhere!
hike through the red & rose valleys
way up in the mountains we stumbled upon this lovely cave home/cafe
this lovely man made us some fresh pomegranate juice in his kitchen
going through the Derinkuyu underground city - At 60 m deep, it is large enough to have sheltered approximately 20,000 people together with their livestock and food stores.
Sitting in a wine trough. Wine was quite a priority down there judging by how many of these there were.

This was one of our favourite drinks in turkey- Salep- it's a powder from orchids that is delicious when mixed with warm milk.
Claypot with chicken stew inside. I loved these. It was so satisfying cracking open the crispy bread to get to the stew.
