VIETNAM - HALONG BAY
We spent the first 3 days in Halong bay (located in the northeast of Vietnam) on a little cruise boat plotting around the amazing limestone islands that are topped with jungle. I've never seen anything like this in my life and was blown away by how beautiful the landscape was.

Off to visit this floating pearl farm
This woman's job is to put a tiny piece of shell into each oyster with tweezers. The oyster then tries to discard of the foreign object and wraps it in layers of calcium which results in a big beautiful pearl!
Like something out of a Starwars movie, 'Sung Sot' cave in the middle of Halong Bay is an incredible site.
Never needed to worry about dad getting lost with other random tour groups, he stands out like a "porcupine at a nudist's colony" with that bright shirt (or some other dad joke I heard from him this week).
This is moments after our bamboo boat capsized and broke apart beneath us! We all started to sink and got completely soaked. Dad's phone was ruined. Luckily I saved my only camera for the rest of the trip. Times like this you're glad you have travel insurance!
Drying off on the top deck after our boat capsized. Here's dad not wasting any time.
