Kathmandu
Kathmandu is a colourful, active city. We were here for a couple of days on both ends of our 2 week nepal trip and loved every moment.
Climbing up to the widely known buddhist monument called Swayambhunath (the self-existent) also known as monkey temple. The shrine is approximately 2600 years old and there are thousands of people that make the pilgrimage there everyday.
Patan Durbar Square - Located 7 Km south east of Kathmandu and founded in the 3rd century AD, Patan is the oldest among the 3 cities in the valley. There is a different religious festival celebrated everyday in nepal so the streets are always packed full of people here worshipping & lighting candles.
CHAOS! There was a prestigious monk in town blessing people and it was like a stampede of humans all climbing over each other to get a blessing.
